Special Interests Are Trying
to Buy a Congressional Seat
Last weekend, the news outlets reported that Leading the Future is spending $600,000 to pick their preferred candidate in the Republican Primary for Arizona’s First Congressional District. Leading the Future is a Super PAC funded by California AI Executives Marc Andreessen and Greg Brockman, among others. This is not the first time that Leading the Future has tried to buy a Congressional race with them spending heavily in competitive primary elections in attempts to buy seats that they can then use to pass their preferred policies. This spending by special interests undermines the integrity of our elections and minimizes the voices of regular voters.

Leading the Future’s Dangerous Agenda
This interference by Leading the Future is especially dangerous because their funders, including OpenAI (ChatGPT) executives, are trying to push their radical agenda on us. This includes:
Getting rid of all AI safeguards in Arizona like HB2678, a Republican sponsored bill that stops predators from using artificial intelligence to create child sexual abuse material.
Encouraging mass state surveillance in order to secure more government contracts.
Supercharging AI data center buildout without local resident’s input or water/electricity consideration.
Call on Candidates to Reject AI Special Interests
We are launching a campaign to call on AZ-01 congressional candidates to reject Leading the Future, their out-of-step agenda, and the interfere from California special interest. We are asking voters in Arizona’s First Congressional District district to sign onto this petition to show Arizonians reject spending from AI special interests.
The petition calls on Republican Congressional Candidates in Arizona’s First Congressional District to:
Reject all funding from Leading the Future SuperPAC and their radical agenda.
Return any past donations and publicly condemn their interference in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District.
